Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you sign up, we collect your business name, email address, and the phone number you want to monitor. When calls come in, we collect caller phone number, caller ID name, city, state, country, and call duration.

If you have voicemail enabled, we also store the voicemail recording and its transcription.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to provide the StarAgent service. We display your call history in your dashboard, send webhook notifications if configured, and use transcription to extract structured information from voicemails. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Third parties that process your data

• Twilio handles telephony, call routing, and voicemail recording.
• Stripe processes subscription payments. We never see or store your full card number.
• OpenAI transcribes voicemail recordings. Recordings are sent for transcription and not retained by OpenAI.
• Neon hosts the PostgreSQL database where your account and call data are stored.
• Vercel hosts the application.

Cookies and analytics

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We also use PostHog to collect basic analytics on how our website is used and to provide session replay capabilities for troubleshooting bugs. This helps us improve the product experience.

Data retention

Your call records and recordings are kept as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and delete your account, we will remove all your data within 30 days.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion at any time by emailing us. If you are in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.

We will respond to any data request within 30 days.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database connections are encrypted. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
